Tenlen ties school record with 149 total, ties for 8th place

GALENA, Ill. – Jacob Tenlen found his rhythm and stuck with it throughout the 36 holes played at the Midwest Region Classic over the weekend. He shot a 75-74 (149) two-day total to tie the program record and lead the Falcons in a tie for eighth place. Concordia Wisconsin finished in 13th position.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons had an impressive showing and finished in 13th place at a very difficult tournament that featured 32 teams. They posted a 323 team score on Saturday and a 314 score on Sunday to finish with a 637 two-day total.
- Sophomore Jacob Tenlen (Montreal, Wis.) found his groove and finished with back-to-back rounds in the 70s (75-74) to finish at 5-over-par for the 36-hole event. His efforts earned him a tie for eighth place and also tied the program's 36 hole record of 149 set by Evan Rabas in 2013.
- Freshman Sam Schlosser (West Bend, Wis.) posted a 14-over-par total of 158 (77-81) to finish in a tie for 44th place.
- Senior Bill Jones (New Holstein, Wis.) carded an 85-78 (163) to tie for 76th position, while senior Mike Loftus (Germantown, Wis.) had an 80-83 (163) total, which was good for a tie for 76th place.
- Sophomore Jake Lipski (New Berlin, Wis.) fired a 167 (86-81) to tie for 107th and junior Kyle Rebholz (West Bend, Wis.) rounded out the lineup with a 90-92 (182) total and tied for 156th on the leaderboard.

BEYOND THE RESULTS
- Concordia Wisconsin's 314 team total on Sunday was the second-lowest round of the season and the 10th lowest in program history.
- Tenlen now has shot three of his six rounds played this season in the 70s and is the only golfer this year with a top-10 finish.
- Tenlen carded four birdies and 26 pars during the tournament.
- Schlosser, Jones and Lipski each had three birdies, while Loftus sunk two birdie putts.
- Jones had the biggest improvement from round to round in the lineup, eight shots.
