
Casey Verhagen Named to D3hoops.com Team of the Week
MEQUON, Wis. – On Tuesday morning, d3hoops.com released its national team of the week. The Falcons landed one honoree with Casey Verhagen on the team.
A sophomore guard from Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Casey Verhagen is claiming the honor for the first time in his career.
Verhagen started the week with 44 points in the victory over Lakeland. The 44 points are the second most in program history. He also added a career-best 10 assists for a double-double performance to go with four rebounds and three steals.
On Saturday, he scored 29 points in the victory against Rockford. He also had eight assists, three steals, and two rebounds.
This is the fourth time that a Falcon has claimed the title. Jordan Johnson claimed the honor on two occasions, and Eric Kittel did so in the 2017-18 season.
Joining Verhagen on the team is Soren Richardson of Wheaton (Ill.), Armonie Ramey of Howard Payne, Eddie Volkerts of Mitchell and Jake Harrison of Western New England.
Verhagen and the Falcons return to action on Saturday against Aurora.
