Zach Slome Named NACC Pitcher of the Week
MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its weekly Student-Athlete of the Week honors for baseball on Wednesday morning. Zach Slome was voted the NACC Baseball Pitcher of the Week by the conference's athletic communications professionals.
A junior pitcher from Schaumburg, Illinois, Zach Slome is claiming the honor for the first time this season.
Slome shut down the 12th-ranked Eagles of Benedictine on Saturday. He earned the victory over Benedictine where he struck out three over seven innings while holding the Eagles to a season-low five hits and walking just three.
Nik Panico was voted as the NACC Position Player of Week.
Slome and the Falcons are scheduled to return to action on Thursday against Wisconsin Lutheran.
