Women's Cross Country dominant in season-opening dual

MEQUON, Wis. - The Concordia University Wisconsin Women's Cross Country team recorded a perfect 15 points in an easy dual meet slam over MSOE Thursday. The Falcons ended up with the top eight runners in the field, and placed 12 in the top 13, dominating the course.

THE BASICS
- Final Score: CUW 15 points, MSOE 77
- Location: Concordia University Wisconsin – Mequon, Wis.

THE BREAKDOWN
- The Falcons went one through eight on Thursday, led by junior Nora Imperl (Greenfield, Wis.). Imperl won the race easily, posting a time of 11:45. Teammate Ashley Scheele (Kohler, Wis.) was second at 12:18, while freshman Molly Wirtz (Stevens Point, Wis.) placed third in 12:22.

- Junior Cassandra Sprotte (Abbotsford, Wis.) placed fourth with a time of 12:32, while senior Lindsey Fratzke (Winona, Minn.) was close behind with a time of 12:38. Next in line for the Falcons was senior Hannah Erl, completing the course in 12:43.

- The final two of the Falcons one through eight runners were juniors Jennifer Goeman (Florence, Wis.) and Martha Kulberg (Maple Grove, Minn.). Goeman ran her riace in a time of 12:58, while Kulberg came in at 13:12.
