Women’s Cross Country Wins the Wisconsin Private College Championships

BELOIT, Wis. – The Falcons are the champions of the state. The Concordia Wisconsin women's cross country team was victorious at the Wisconsin Private College Championships on Saturday. The Falcons won with 29 points.

Freshman Emma Ahrens (Stephens City, Va.) was the silver medalist at 23:12.0.

In third place was junior Alicia Kawa (Medford, Wis.) at 23:34.9.

In fifth place was sophomore Ainara Sainz De Rozas (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.) at 24:02.8.

Sophomore Melanie Arvis (Berwyn, Ill.) finished in eighth place at 24:27.4.

In 11th place was sophomore Danielle Van Grinsven (Appleton, Wis.) at 24:44.2.

Sophomore Abigail Poehlman (Hubertus, Wis.) picked up a 14th-place finish at 24:53.7.

Senior Anessa Yim (Spokane, Wash.) clocked in at 25:01.6 in 16th place.

Junior Ella Stader (Oostburg, Wis.) secured a 22nd-place finish at 25:59.9.

Senior MaryGrace Cleinmark (Danvers, Ill.) finished in 24th place at 26:03.9.

Freshman Faith Konzak (Cedar Grove, Wis.) clocked in at 26:48.3 in 39th place.

A flock of Falcons finished together at senior Abigail Van Rixel (Athens, Wis.) in 46th place at 27:03.0, freshman Hailey Foster (Pewaukee, Wis.) in 47th place at 27:03.6, sophomore Elizabeth Van Rixel (Athens, Wis.) at 27:19.1 in 49th place and freshman Abigail Lange (Pleasant Prairie, Wis.) in 51st place at 27:20.5.

Freshman Sarah Tinder (Fredonia, Wis.) took 55th place at 27:37.4.

Senior Holly Klomhaus (Poplar, Wis.) secured 57th place at 27:39.9.

Freshman Bailee Schlender (Brillion, Wis.) snagged 62nd place at 27:53.7.

Freshman Sydney Leschisin (Turtle Lake, Wis.) rounded out the flock in 74th place at 29:22.7.

The Falcons will now turn their eyes to the NACC Championships on Oct. 28.
