Kurek sets Women's Lacrosse career goals record in rout of Beloit

MEQUON, Wis. -- Another record has fallen in the Concordia Wisconsin's Women's Lacrosse record book when Allison Kurek scored her 167th career goal on Wednesday afternoon during a 19-7 rout of Beloit during MWLC play at Fitting Field. The senior now owns the program's all-time record for career goals.

THE BASICS
Final Score: Concordia Wisconsin 19, Beloit 7
Location: Fitting Field (Mequon, Wis.)
Records: Concordia Wisconsin 2-3, 1-0 MWLC; Beloit 0-6, 0-3 MWLC

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Allison Kurek took a pass from Caitlin Henry atop the 12-meter arc, spun back to her left and fired from six meters to the bottom left corner of the goal to set another record. The senior scored her fourth goal of the game and the 167th career goal of her illustrious with 15:34 to play in a lopsided victory over the Buccaneers.
- Concordia jumped out to an early 9-0 lead with 17:20 left in the first half and never looked back. Seven different Falcons tallied a goal in the dominant effort from start to finish.
- Freshman Ciara Bond (White Bear Lake, Minn.) led all goal scorers with a five-goal effort, while sophomore Nicole DeMeo (Niles, Ill.) notched three goals and three assists. Three other Falcons added multiple goals in a game that was never in question.
- Defensively it was sophomore Kennedy Boyer (Saline, Mich.) who led the Falcons by facing 15 shots, making eight saves. Junior Ellie Woodman (Janesville, Wis.) caused three turnovers and sophomore Jenny Rudenga (Elmhurst, Ill.) caused a pair of turnovers and picked up three ground balls.
- Kurek also had seven ground balls, five draw controls and five caused turnovers.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Kurek, who set the program's career record for points (217) last Saturday, also owns the records for shots attempted (328), shots on goal (264), ground balls (258), draw controls (277), caused turnovers (193) and game-winning goals (9). She is second all-time in assists and free-position goals.

- DeMeo's three assists are tied for the eighth most in a game in program history.
- The Falcons initiated the 10-goal running clock rule less than a minute before halftime and had it in play for the final 21 minutes and 43 seconds of the contest.
