White leaps his way into national meet

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – Junior Tyler White leaped his way into the NCAA Division III National Championships Saturday at the Point Last Chance Meet. He recorded a distance of 14.36 meters, which was good enough to rank him 13th nationally.

White (Milwaukee, Wis.) won the event which featured 15 competitors Saturday. He joins CUW Women's Track & Field athletes Ariel Kinlow (60-meter dash) and Nicole Larson (Pole Vault) as Falcons to qualify for the National Meet.

White's new mark broke his previous school record. He also now has the top leap in the NACC this season.
