MEQUON, Wis. – The 2022 campaign came to an end in overtime for the Falcons on Wednesday afternoon in the Northern Athletics Colligate Conference (NACC) Tournament Quarterfinals. The Eagles walked away with a 2-0 victory to have the Falcons finish the season at 9-4-5.
The Falcons held a majority of the possession on Wednesday afternoon. CUW outshot Benedictine in regulation 23-10 and had eight shots on the net.
Freshman Jeremy Munoz (Milwaukee, Wis.) had five saves in regulation.
CUW started the overtime session controlling the possession. Benedictine then scrambled down the field and was given a foul in the box to give the Eagles a penalty kick. The Eagles capitalized and added an insurance goal seven minutes later.
Senior Ivan Cuellar (Milwaukee, Wis.) led the match with eight shots.
The Falcons finish the year as NACC regular season champions at 7-2-3.
