No. 4 Adrian Tops Men's Hockey

ADRIAN, Mich. – The Falcons took on one of the top teams in the nation on Friday night and fell short by an 8-2 margin to No. 4 Adrian.

The Bulldogs struck first on Friday evening.

The Falcons leveled the game at one on the power play. Freshman Derek Humpherys (Spokane, Wash.) found the back of the net off assists from freshman Noah Roitman (Inver Grove Heights, Minn.) and freshman Mason Ausmus (Saline, Mich.).

The Black and Gold scored the next four games of the contest.

The Falcons started the third-period scoring off the stick of junior Joey Petronack (White Bear Lake, Minn.) and an assist to freshman Jaron Ketterman (Palmer, Alaska).

The Bulldogs held a 64-12 advantage in shots on Friday.

Freshman Gabe Rosek (East Lansing, Mich.) posted 53 saves.

The Falcons look to level the weekend series on Saturday.
