Men’s Golf Concludes Weekend Play

KANSASVILLE, Wis. - The CUW men's golf team took 36th place at the Midwest Regional Fall Classic with 672 total strokes, while Illinois Wesleyan was on the top of the leaderboard with 580 strokes through 36 holes.

In 164th place was junior Nico Murgas-Bennett (Hartford, Wis.), who shot an 85 on day two and totaled 168 strokes.

Sophomore Grant Naumann moved up eight spots from the day before (Oconomowoc, Wis.). Naumann shot an 82 in round two, five strokes better than the day before, to finish with 169 total strokes, good enough for 166th place. 

Senior Daniel Hahn (Cudahy, Wis.) also shot 169 total strokes and took 166th place, as he recorded 83 strokes on round two of the Midwest Regional Fall Classic.

Junior duo Tyler Yaun (Rockton, Ill.) and junior Joshua Samsell (Bay City, Mich.) both finished the event with 170 total strokes, taking 173rd place.

CUW men's golf squad will resume competition at the UW-Stout Fall Invitational Oct. 1 and Oct. 2 in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
