CUW Completes First Round at the Midwest Region Fall Classic

KANSASVILLE, Wis. - The CUW men's golf squad opened their first round of play at the Midwest Region Fall Classic Friday afternoon. Currently, the team sits in 36th place with 338 total strokes, while Carthage leads the pack with 289 strokes.

The junior duo of Nico Murgas-Bennett (Hartford, Wis.) and Joshua Samsell (Bay City, Mich.) led the Falcons, taking 152nd place with 83 strokes each in their first 18 holes of play.

Junior Tyler Yaun (Rockton, Ill.) and senior Daniel Hahn (Cudahy, Wis.) both shot an 86 and ended their day in 170th place. 

In 174th place and rounding out CUW's squad was sophomore Grant Naumann (Oconomowoc, Wis.), who recorded 87 strokes. 

The Blue and White will wrap up their weekend competition on Saturday.
