Falcons Finish 11th at WLC Invitational

HARTFORD, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's golf team wrapped up action at the Wisconsin Lutheran Invitational on Sunday morning. The Falcons finished in 11th place at 674 strokes after a combined round of 340 strokes on Sunday. Carthage held on to claim the title at 580 strokes.

Junior Nico Murgas-Bennett (Hartford, Wis.) led the flock on Sunday at 82 strokes to finish tied for 47th place at 166 strokes.

Sophomore Grant Naumann (Oconomowoc, Wis.) also finished in 47th place at 166 strokes after a round of 85 strokes on Sunday.

In 50th place was senior Trenton Sherman (Farmington, Minn.) at 169 strokes after shooting a round of 86 on Sunday.

Junior Tyler Yaun (Rockton, Ill.) walked into the clubhouse in 53rd place at 173 strokes after recording a round of 87 on the day.

Senior Daniel Hahn (Cudahy, Wis.) improved by two strokes on Sunday at 93 strokes to wrap up the competition in 60th place with 188 strokes.

The biggest drop for the Falcons came from junior Joshua Samsell (Bay City, Mich.) who improved nine strokes from Saturday at 90 strokes and 189 overall to finish in 62nd place.

The Falcons return to action on Thursday at Match Play at the Chalet.
