Falcons Finish NACC Tournament

AURORA, Ill. - The CUW men's golf team finished the 2023 NACC Tournament final round on Monday afternoon.

The Birds ended up in eighth place with 1,358 strokes.  Aurora took home the title with 1,178 strokes.

Freshman Francisco Ascenio Beltra (Ibi, Spain) led the Falcons through all four rounds with 337 total strokes.  He finished round four with 90 shots.

Sophomore Nico Murgas-Bennett (Hartford, Wis.) finished Monday with a team-leading 82 strokes for 338 total shots.

Senior Trenton Sherman (Farmington, Minn.) finished with 339 shots over the four rounds and a fourth-day score of 83 strokes.

Both sophomores Garrett Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.) and Tyler Yaun (Rockton, Ill.) were replacements for the Falcons in the Spring rounds.  They finished with scores of 90 and 95 respectively on Monday.

The Blue and White still have one contest on the calendar with a rescheduled Carthage Spring Invitation on Sunday.
