Falcons End Fall Season at Blackwolf Run

KOHLER, Wis. - The CUW men's golf team put a bow on the Fall portion of their season with their final round at Blackwolf Run on Monday morning.  The Blue and White will continue their NACC Championship rounds in the Spring.

The Falcons sit in fifth place heading into rounds three and four with 677 total strokes.  Aurora holds a firm grasp on the lead with 586 strokes.

The duo of freshmen Francisco Ascenio Beltra (Ibi, Spain) and Cole Shane (Park Ridge, Ill.) went low in round two with team leading 81 stroke performances.  Ascenio Beltra leads the team through two rounds with 164 strokes while Shane sits in second with 168.

Sophomore Nico Murgas-Bennett (Hartford, Wis.) sits in team third with 170 strokes after an 86-stroke second round.

Junior Trenton Sherman (Farmington, Minn.) finished with 90 strokes after round two which brought his total to 175.

Rounding out the Blue and White was freshman Jason Michalski (Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich.) turned in a 102-stroke round to move his total score to 196 strokes.

The flock will return in the Spring to finish their NACC Championship tournament.
