ACHA Sweeps Series Against St. Norbert

MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW ACHA hockey team took on the Green Knights of St. Norbert in a home-and-home this weekend.

The Falcons snagged the 4-0, shutout victory. They again scored a goal in every period matching that feat from Friday but adding a second goal in the second period.

The first goal came off of a rebounded shot by sophomore John Swiatek (Rochester, N.Y.). Freshman Tommy Cassel (Grafton, Wis.) was in the perfect spot and went top corner for the Falcon score. Cassel repaid the favor in the second period throwing a puck to Swiatek for the second Falcon goal.

Another Falcon goal came off of a rebounded shot. Junior Connor Doyle (Naples, Fla.) finished a saved shot from senior Ethan Natzke (Ballwin, Minn.). Senior Wyatt Wilderman (Bear Dance, Mont.) added the secondary assist.

The Falcons added a fourth goal in the third period off the stick of freshman Quinn Roadhouse (Tulsa, Okla.) who scored his first collegiate goal. Junior Trenton Sherman (Farmington, Minn.) and sophomore Nick Roberts (Milwaukee, Wis.) added the assists.

Eight Falcons all recorded points in this matchup with Swiatek and Cassel leading the way with two.

The game also saw four different goal scorers in the contest.

Junior Ian Robertson (Calgary, Alta.) recorded 23 saves on the night and the Falcons recorded a total of 45 shots on goal.

The Falcons hit the road and head to Lewis in their fifth and sixth of ten straight NCHL matchups.
