Falcons overwhelm Edgewood

MADISON, Wis. – The Falcons stand alone atop of the NACC North Division standings with a pair of 3-1 victories on Sunday afternoon.

The Falcons claimed the first match with a 25-22, 25-23, 25-27, 25-20 victory.

All four sets in the first match were tied at one point at 20 or higher, with the Falcons coming out on top in three of the four sets.

Junior Sophia Collins (Lake Mills, Wis.) led the flock with 11 kills in the first match.

Sophomore Sierra Lee (Kenosha, Wis.) had a double-double performance with 14 assists and 14 digs.

Junior Olivia Richter (Naperville, Ill.) was a part of five blocks and notched nine kills.

The Falcons finished the day with 14 service aces, with junior Makenzie Vertz (Mukwonago, Wis.) leading the flock with four.

CUW fell in the first set of match two, 20-25, but rallied to take the next three sets, 26-24, 25-22, 25-17.

The Falcons were able to tie the match at one after taking the second set, 26-24. With the set tied at 24, the Falcons landed kills from junior McKenna Nigl (Richland Center, Wis.) and sophomore Jenna Chaussee (Chilton, Wis.).

Jenna Chaussee finished with a match-high 13 kills in match two.

Senior Christina Stinson (Aurora, Ill.) had 21 assists in the victory.

Junior Madelyn Alton (Farwell, Minn.) had 19 of Concordia's 51 digs and junior Annie Marie Olszowka (Bolingbrook, Ill.) landed four of the Falcons' 10 service aces.

The Falcons return home on Wednesday in a NACC North doubleheader against MSOE.
