Women's Tennis Wallops Wisconsin Lutheran

MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's tennis team opened Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play on Thursday evening. The Falcons soared to a 5-2 victory over Wisconsin Lutheran to improve to 1-1 on the young season and sit atop the NACC standings at 1-0.

The freshman duo of Ruth Dolde (Fort Wayne, Ind.) and Jeanie Eisen (West Bend, Wis.) struck first on Thursday at No. 3 doubles with a 6-3 victory.

Sophomore Morgan Chyla (Salem Lakes, Wis.) and senior Peyton Morgan (Arlington Heights, Ill.) secured the doubles point with a 7-4 victory at No. 1 doubles.

Ruth Dolde captured her first collegiate victory at No. 5 singles against Amelia Kelley with a 6-2, 6-1 victory.

Junior Abby Schwartz (Brookfield, Wis.) sank Tai Mitchell at No. 4 singles, 6-2, 6-0.

Jeanie Eisen also recorded her first collegiate victory with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Desirae Pugh at No. 6 singles.

Peyton Morgan rallied to close the match with a 2-6, 6-0, 6-4 victory over Ali Schmidt at No. 1 singles.

The Falcons look to continue their winning ways on Wednesday at St. Norbert.
