Falcons Wrestling Posts Stellar Season

MEQUON, Wis. – CUW wrestling shines in 2021 season after landing two All-Americans.

The CUW wrestling team finished the season at 6-2 on the year.  In addition, they pulled in two All-American honors as well as four scholar All-Americans.

Freshman Jack O'Donnell (Huntington Beach, Calif.) and junior Austin Vincent (Stockton, Ill.) claimed the honors at the National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III National Championship.  Both O'Donnell and Vincent ended up 11-4 on the year. 

Along with the two All-American selections, the Falcons also had four Scholar All-American selections.  Senior Merrick O'Donnell (Huntington Beach, Calif.), junior Val Kochiu (Oak Creek, Wis.), and sophomores Quinn Hoopman (Cedar Grove, Wis.) and Bryce Karban (Coleman, Wis.).  The Falcons take up four scholar All-American spots for the first time in their history. 

Jack O'Donnell led the Falcons on the season with the fastest fall taking just over 30 seconds to take home the victory.  The Falcons had 19 falls in their combined 79 wins.

The Blue and White came out to a blistering 5-0 start the best in program history. The 6-2 record is also the highest win percentage in program history.

The Falcons will be back to start the 2021-22 season in November.
