Kurek tagged with MWLC Defensive Player of the Week honors
WAUKESHA, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin's Allison Kurek was named the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced.
The sophomore had five goals, one assist, five ground balls, four draw controls and three caused turnovers during a 16-4 win at Wartburg and added five goals, one assist, six ground balls and three draw controls in a 21-6 win over Cornell College.
For the week, Kurek (Chicago, Ill.) totaled 10 goals, two assists, 11 ground balls, seven draw controls and three caused turnovers, while the Falcons defense allowed five goals per contest on average.
The weekly award is the eighth of her career and the fourth this season.
