Megan Aliverti Named Softball Head Coach

MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia University Wisconsin Athletics Department under the leadership of Dr. Rob Barnhill has announced the hiring of Megan Aliverti as the new softball head coach.

I am pleased to announce the hiring of Megan Aliverti for the position of head softball coach," said Director of Athletics Dr. Rob Barnhill. "Megan had wonderful interviews with our staff and overwhelmingly positive reference responses. Her background across all levels of the NCAA, in her brief career, has provided her with a solid foundation and I believe that she will be very successful in her first stint as a head coach. During the interview process, she asked me about my expectations, and I responded in no uncertain terms that I was not willing to take a step back in the overall performance and competitiveness of our outstanding softball program. She did not flinch. I look forward to having her as part of the Falcon family and I am sure she will fit into the CUW culture we have established on campus and in athletics."

Excitement is in the air for Aliverti to write the next chapter in CUW softball history.

"I am very grateful to Rob Barnhill, the athletic department, and the university for giving me the opportunity to lead this program," said Aliverti. "It has been a dream of mine to be a head coach and be able to impact student-athletes through softball. I look forward to continuing to build on the strong foundation of Falcons softball for many successful seasons to come."

Aliverti comes to Concordia from Drury University in Springfield, Missouri. She served as the assistant coach in the 2024 season. Aliverti helped the Panthers post a 30-24 record and a 12-game winning streak, the longest in program history. She also served as the recruiting coordinator, camp coordinator and oversaw fundraising.

Before Drury, Aliverti was the assistant coach at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point where she also served as an assistant sports information director. In 2023, Aliverti helped the Pointers reach the title game of the WIAC Tournament for the first time since 2001. The Pointers posted a 28-13 record in the 2023 season, the most wins in program history. Aliverti was in charge of recruiting, camp setup, and other projects at Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

Aliverti had a spectacular career at Wisconsin-Parkside where she started 201 games for the Rangers and was named the Parkside Female Student-Athlete of the Year in 2021. She also claimed many honors in the 2021 softball season. The Washington native claimed National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) honors when she was voted to the All-Midwest Region Second Team and also claimed the NFCA All-American Scholar Athlete accolade. She led the Rangers that season with a .347 batting average and secured First Team All-Conference honors in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (GLIAC).

She graduated from Wisconsin-Parkside with a Masters and Bachelors in Sports Management and Business Administration.

Aliverti is a native of Clarkston, Washington. She loves all things outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
