Brekke honored as NACC Softball Pitcher of the Week
WAUKESHA, Wis. – Sophomore Emily Brekke was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Brekke (Waterford, Wis.) pitched nine dominant innings in a doubleheader sweep over Trinity Christian last week. She earned the save in the opener, throwing two shutout innings with four strikeouts. Brekke then won a pitchers dual in game two, throwing a complete game. She scattered three hits in seven innings of work, while striking out six.
After a weekend of postponements, Brekke and the Falcons are scheduled to open up NACC play today with a road doubleheader at Lakeland. The team's home opener is set for tomorrow in a twinbill against Dominican.
