Cross Country programs named USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams

MEQUON, Wis. – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its All-Academic Teams on Thursday afternoon.

"The cross country teams reached a great honor with their all-academic status this past season," said head coach Russ DeLap. "I could not be more proud of all of their hard work in the classroom and with their running. This is a great group of people who strive to reach great heights both academically as well as athletically."

In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers.

Overall, there were 172 men's teams and 212 women's teams that received All-Academic honors in NCAA Division III.

The CUW women's cross country team recorded a 3.55 grade-point average and the men's team finished with a grade-point average of 3.53.
