Men's Track & Field takes part in UW-Platteville Invitational

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Jake Roy posted a pair of top-three finishes in sprint events Saturday to lead the Concordia University Wisconsin Men's Track & Field team at the UW-Platteville Invitational.

THE BASICS
- Location: Williams Fieldhouse – Platteville, Wisconsin

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Roy (Appleton, Wis.) led the way with his top-three finishes Saturday. He was second in the 200-meter dash by running a time of 23.09. Roy also placed third in the 60, coming across the finish line in 7.13. Silas Hasselbrook (Missoula, Mont.) finished fifth in the 60 with a time of 7.17.

- The Falcons also saw success in the 400-meter dash in the form of freshman Samual Spranger (Fond du Lac, Wis.) who posted a time of 50.15.

- CUW received a third-place finish in the long jump from sophomore Jordan Kelly (Mequon, Wis.) as well. Kelly leaped 6.60 meters for his third-place effort.

- The distance medley relay team of Zach Ziemann (Jackson, Wis.), Logan Hass (Manawa, Wis.), Brandon Goesch (Germantown, Wis.) and Matthew Wilcox (APO, AE) also ran to a second-place finish Saturday. They completed the race in a time of 12:10.2.
