Men’s Golf finishes seventh at Aurora Country Club Invitational

AURORA, Ill. -Concordia University Wisconsin finished in seventh place at the Aurora Country Club Invitational on Monday. The event is the first on the spring schedule for the Falcons.

Junior Jon Wengel (Waubeka, Wis.) paced CUW with an 87 (15-over-par). The Falcons finished with a 370 (82-over) team total, while Aurora University earned the team title with a 332 (44-over) team score.

Individually, Donnie Langland (Carthage College) was individual medalist with a 1-over-par 73. He was four strokes better than his next competitor.

The four other CUW golfers were with five strokes of each other with junior Ben Hagenbach (Ashwaubenon, Wis.) shooting a 93. Junior Eric Hertel (Franklin, Wis.) and sophomore Graylyn Douglas (Dallas, Texas) finished with a 94 and 96, respectively. Sophomore Shay Klitzke (Annandale, Minn.) rounded out the Falcons lineup with a 98.
