Football rips the Red Hawks

MEQUON, Wis. – The rain and fog could not slow down the Falcons on Saturday in a 33-23 non-conference victory over Ripon. The Blue and White bounced Ripon to improve to 2-2 on the season.

Junior James Linn (Chino Hills, Calif.) started the scoring early with a 20-yard connection to sophomore Al'jarius Kelly (Fort Meyers, Fla.) in a drive that only took two plays.

Junior Josh Turner (Palatine, Ill.) rushed into the end zone on a three-yard rush to put the Falcons up 13-0 after the first quarter.

The Falcons added to the lead on a 56-yard missile from James Linn to freshman Samuel Campbell (Milwaukee, Wis.) to push the lead up to 20-0.

Ripon found the end zone late in the second quarter, but the Blue and White flexed their muscles and once again used the Linn to Kelly connection to push the lead back up to 20 points.

The long ball was kind to the Falcons once again in the third quarter when James Linn locked in on senior Charlie Schnell (New Holstein, Wis.) for a 45-yard touchdown pass.

Linn fished the game with 275 yards and four touchdowns.

Josh Turner led the rushing attack with 94 yards and a touchdown.

On the defensive side, sophomore Evan Lischka (Manitowoc, Wis.) nightmare for the Red Hawks, finishing with two interceptions, three breakups and two tackles for loss.

The Falcons had a party in the backfield on Saturday and had five sacks and 12 tackles for a loss.

The Blue and White are scheduled to close the season on April 17 against Eureka.
