Schubert lands NACC, D3Baseball.com weekly honors

WAUKESHA, Wis. – Matt Schubert continued his outstanding senior season with a strong stretch of games last week, helping lead the Concordia University Wisconsin Baseball team to a 7-0 effort. On Monday, Schubert landed a pair of weekly honors for his efforts.

Schubert was named the NACC Position Player of the Week and was also named as the shortstop on the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week. The D3Baseball award was the second of the season for the senior.

Schubert (West Bend, Wis.) scored 12 runs and drove in 13 while batting .500 in a 7-0 week for the Falcons. He recorded at least one RBI and one hit in every game. Schubert posted six multi-hit games, including three with three hits. Seven of his hits went for extra bases, six of those doubles and one a triple.

Schubert and the Falcons ran their winning streak to eight Monday against Maranatha Baptist and are next scheduled to play Thursday against St. Norbert at 5 p.m. at Kapco Park.
