Acrobatics & Tumbling is Triumphant at Trine

ANGOLA, Ind. – The CUW acrobatics & tumbling team shined in the regular-season finale on Sunday with a season-high score. The Falcons tossed away Trine with a 249.080 to 242.175 victory to finish the regular season at 5-1. CUW finished the day with season-high scores in two events and two heats.

The Falcons took an early lead on Sunday afternoon with 33.20 points. The birds picked up 9.50 points in the pyramid heat and 9.45 points in the toss heat.

CUW added to the lead with 26.50 points in the acro event.

The Falcons scored over nine points in all three pyramids and finished the event with a season-high 28.35 points.

The Birds continued to pile onto the lead with 26.20 points in the toss event.

The Blue and White posted a season-best score of 45.850 points in the tumbling event. CUW had a season-high score of 8.175 points in the six-element pass with junior Jessi Alexander (Plainfield, Ill.) and 8.975 points with sophomore Paityn Taormina (Geneva, Ill.) in the open pass.

Concordia closed the day with 88.98 points in the team event.

The Falcons will compete at the NCAA Division III Invite on April 23 and 24 in Adrian, Michigan.
