Acrobatics and Tumbling secures a program-best 10 NCATA Honor Roll selections

MEQUON, Wis. - The National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association announced its 2020 academic honor roll on Monday afternoon, which includes all acrobatics and tumbling student-athletes with a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or higher.

"We are very proud and excited to represent CUW both on the mat and in the classroom," said head coach Sarah Koenig. "This is a younger team and they are setting a great foundation to build on with over half of our team on the academic honor roll."

Concordia Wisconsin landed 10 selections on the NCATA Academic Honor Roll on Monday. This is the second year of the NCATA Academic Honor Roll. Last year, CUW secured five selections to the honor roll.

Making an appearance on the academic honor roll for the second-straight year is junior Lydia Aukamp of Belleville, Illinois, and junior Katelyn Mirasola of Sussex, Wisconsin.

CUW landed eight new selections in 2020 in freshman Jessi Alexander (Plainfield, Ill.), freshman Amy Eberth (Basehor, Kan.), sophomore Samantha Hoolerbek (Belvidere, Ill.), junior Lindsey Leonhard (Sheboygan, Wis.), freshman Kylie Nelson (Capron, Ill.), junior Madison Schultz (Janesville, Wis.), sophomore Kara Skevis (Lockport, Ill.) and sophomore Madalynn Visser (Belvidere, Ill.).

The NCATA also announced the 2020 NCATA All-Academic Team on Monday of Morgan Celum of Baylor University, Payton Coon of University of Oregon, Karen DeFilippo of Quinnipiac University, Alexis Forbes of Converse College, Makayla Garland of Hawaii Pacific University, Olivia Kincaid of King University, Beth Magee of Azusa Pacific University and Jocelyn Scott, of Gannon University. Members of the NCATA All-Academic Team must have a 3.30 grade-point average and provide significant contributions to the team's success during regular-season competition.
