Falcons put together season-best performance

MEQUON, Wis. -- Concordia Wisconsin captured its second victory of the season on Thursday night with a 242.625 - 236.035 victory over East Texas Baptist inside the R. John Buuck Field House.

The Falcons took an early with a season-best performance in the Compulsory Event and led 32.65 - 31.90. Their 32.65 point total was a season-high, along with their 8.00 score in the Acro Heat, 9.05 score in the Pyramid Heat and 6.05 score in the Tumbling Heat. The 9.55 score in the Toss Heat tied a season-high scored in the last meet.

Concordia Wisconsin increased its lead after outscoring East Texas Baptist 25.00 - 21.80 in the Acro Event. They smashed the Heat 2 season-high score by accumulating 8.80 points.

Again, they outscored the Tigers with a 27.60 - 26.05 difference in the Pyramid Event, which included season-bests of 9.40 in Heat 1 and 9.85 in Heat 3.

At the intermission, the Falcons led 85.25 to 79.75 over the Tigers.

Concordia Wisconsin outscored East Texas Baptist 26.20 - 25.60 in the Toss Event. They topped previous scores this season with an 8.85 in Heat 1, 8.55 in Heat 2 and an 8.80 in Heat 3.

The Tigers won the Tumbling Event, narrowly, but a 46.175 - 46.025 score. The Falcons set new marks for the 2020 season in the Duo Pass with a 7.1 score, Quad Pass with a 6.85 score and Six Element with a 8.675 score.

The meet concluded with Concordia Wisconsin posting an 86.15 score in the team route.
