Erdman, Nevinski, Katz receive AVCA recognition

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Concordia Wisconsin was recognized well on the American Volleyball Coaches Association All-Region announcement on Thursday. Kaily (Moegenburg) Erdman was named All-Midwest Region, while Lauren Nevinski was tagged with All-Midwest Region Honorable Mention honors. Janelle Katz earned Midwest Region Coach of the Year honors.

Erdman (Plymouth, Wis.) is the Falcons offensive leader with 269 kills, to go along with a .210 attack percentage. She also is first on the team with 57 service aces, second in digs (349) and second in total blocks (55). The senior was also named NACC Player of the Year earlier this season.

Nevinski (New Berlin, Wis.) is a force at the net defensively, with a team-high 102 total blocks (89 block assists). She is also fourth on the team with 167 kills and is hitting .302 at the net. The senior is the program and Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference's all-time leader in block assists (335).

Katz continues to add honors to her résumé with AVCA Midwest Region Coach of the Year honors after being named NACC Coach of the Year earlier this season. The fifth-year head coach surpassed 100 wins in mid-October and has guided the Falcons to a program-record 28 wins this season.
