Budewitz Advances to the ITA Regional Semifinals

WHITEWATER, Wis. – Senior Ricki Budewitz continued to compete at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Midwest Regional Championships on Sunday. The Watertown, Wisconsin native continued action in the singles draw.

In the quarterfinal round, Budewitz beat Michaella Sullivan of Bethel, 6-3, 6-0.

In the semifinal round, No. 10 Irene Agusti of Grinnell advanced with a 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 victory.

No. 19 Lauren Douglas of Bethel defeated No. 7 Ioanna Giannakou, 6-3, 6-1, in the other semifinal match.

The championship match is slated for Monday morning at 10:00 at Whitewater.

The Falcons return to action on Tuesday against MSOE.
