Ashley Samuta takes the NACC Student-Athlete of the Week crown
MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) named Ashley Samuta its Student-Athlete of the Week in women's tennis on Tuesday morning.
A freshman from Glen Ellyn, Illinois, Ashley Samuta has made a splash in the CUW lineup as a freshman.
This is the first time that she has claimed the honor.
Samuta has won four-straight matches at No. 2 singles, with victories over St. Scholastica, Carroll, Carthage and St. Norbert.
She has also picked up three victories at No. 1 doubles with junior Ricki Budewitz.
Samuta and the Falcons return to action on Saturday against Wisconsin- La Crosse.
