Women’s Tennis rams the Raiders

MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW women's tennis teams remained perfect in the NACC on a sunny day on the shores of Lake Michigan. The Falcons repelled the Raiders of MSOE with a 7-2 victory to improve to 7-4 on the season and 4-0 in NACC action.

Junior Mia Andrae (Cedarburg, Wis.) and freshman Jordana Burkeland (Oregon, Wis.) ripped the Raiders to shreds with an 8-0 sweep at No. 3 doubles.

Junior Ricki Budewitz (Watertown, Wis.) and junior Jennifer Mies (Brookfield, Wis.) moved past MSOE with an 8-2 victory at No. 1 doubles.

The Falcons swept the Raiders away in doubles play with an 8-5 victory at No. 2 doubles with freshman Mallory Moen (Neenah, Wis.) and junior Elizabeth Johnson.

Ricki Budewitz blasted Cameron Larson at No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-0.

The Raiders cut into the lead with victories on courts two and six, but it was all CUW the rest of the way.

Junior Elizabeth Johnson (Hubertus, Wis.) put Leah Becker away at No. 5 singles, 6-3, 6-2.

Jennifer Mies silenced Cierra Smith on court four, 6-3, 6-4.

Mallory Moen closed the book on MSOE with a 6-0, 6-7 (5), 6-4 victory.

CUW has a quick turnaround and will travel to Alverno on Sunday.
