CUW's Klumpp is the NAC Freshman of the Year for women's soccer

WAUKESHA, Wis.-  Concordia Wisconsin senior Lauren Straeher (Pewaukee, Wis.), junior defender Ashley Apazeller (West Bend, Wis.), and freshman Brittany Klumpp (West Bend, Wis.) all earned first team NAC women's soccer honors in voting announced today.

Klumpp (Rubicon, Wis.) also headlined the All-Freshman team. She has started in all 19 games for the Falcons (15-4-0, 10-2-0 NAC) and has netted a goal per game while adding four assists.

Straehler is right behind Klumpp with 17 goals and she also has four 2012 assists. The speedy Apazeller has been the key to CUW's defense for the past two seasons.

Sophomore Emily Ciesielczyk (Waukesha, Wis.), and freshman Carley Pfannerstill (Grafton, Wis.) were named to the second team with freshman Kate Pawelkiewicz (Oshkosh, Wis.) joining Klumpp and Pfannerstill on the NAC all-freshman squad.  Ciesielczyk led the NAC with 17 assists while the ever-dangerous Pfannerstill has 10 goals and nine assists to date.
