MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW women's hockey team fell to 6-10-2 on the season with a 3-0 loss to the ninth-ranked Bulldogs of Adrian College.
Defense shined in the first period as senior Breanna Thomson (St. Marys, Ont.) had 15 saves.
The Bulldogs added two goals in the second period to strike first.
Adrian added another goal in the third period to secure the victory.
The Black and Gold held a 42-15 advantage in shots on Friday.
Breanna Thomson finished the day with 39 saves.
Senior Natasha Wanless (Madison, Wis.) led CUW with 11 faceoff victories and four shots.
The Bulldogs killed off all six of their penalties, with CUW killing off three of its four penalties.
The Falcons will look to even the series on Saturday afternoon on senior day.
