Men's Volleyball Secures Both NACC Weekly Honors

MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) released its weekly Student-Athlete of the Week Honors for Men's Volleyball on Tuesday morning. The Concordia Wisconsin men's volleyball program secured both of the weekly honors after posting a perfect 3-0 record last week, with victories over Illinois Wesleyan, St. Norbert and Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Lucas Beres was voted as the NACC Offensive Player of the Week and Parker Pearson was voted as the NACC Defensive Player of the Week by the league's athletics communications professionals.

A junior middle hitter from Germantown, Wisconsin, Lucas Beres is claiming the honor for the first time this season. He has now claimed four NACC weekly honors with two offensive honors and two defensive honors.

Last week, he finished with 34 kills, 15 blocks, five service aces, three digs and an assist. Beres also hit a blistering 611 hitting percentage on the week. The Germantown native hit above 600 in all three matches and tied the program record for eight blocks in the three-set victory over Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

A sophomore libero from Fort Worth, Texas, Parker Pearson is claiming his first NACC honor. Pearson was sensational in the back row for the Falcons on the week and finished with 58 digs and 50 receptions. He broke program records with 25 digs in the Wisconsin-Stevens Point match for digs in a match and digs in a three-set match. The 25 digs also lead NCAA Division III for digs in a three-set match.

The Falcons return to action on Saturday at Edgewood.
