Binversie gains second NACC Weekly award of season

WAUKESHA, Wis. – Freshman Gabe Binversie of the Concordia University Wisconsin Men's Tennis team has been honored with his second NACC Student-Athlete of the Week award, the league office announced Monday.

Binversie (Plymouth, Wis.) is the first two-time winner of the award in the NACC this season. He also was honored in early February and is off to an impressive start in his rookie season.

This past week, Binversie helped lead the Falcons to a 4-1 record in five non-conference matches in South Carolina. The freshman posted a perfect 5-0 mark in singles play, two of those matches coming at No. 4 singles, the other three at the No. 5 position.

He also partnered with senior Trevor Budewitz (Watertown, Wis.) for a 3-2 record at No. 3 doubles. The duo won their first three matches of the week.

Binversie and the Falcons are off until Friday, March 31 when they take on Purdue Northwest.
