Guess lands NACC Defensive Player of the Week honor

WAUKESHA, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin junior defensive back Richie Guess has been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Defensive Football Student-Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

Guess (Homer Glen, Ill.) returned a fumble 20 yards for a touchdown, resulting in the first score in Saturday's 24-14 win over Augsburg College. He added five tackles, 1.5 of those for a loss, including half a sack. Guess also broke up a pass in the win, which helped the Falcons move to 2-0 on the season.

Guess and CUW will be back in action this weekend with a home contest against Alma. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. at Tomasini Stadium.
