AROUND THE BASES
1) This will be the Falcons second attempt at the home opener after Saturday's games against Northland and UW-Platteville were washed out. CUW is 24-4 at home over the past two years and has swept a doubleheader in its home opener in each of the past three seasons.

2) The Falcons have owned the series against Mount Mary, winning all eight matchups. CUW has outscored Mount Mary by a score of 139-7 over that span.

3) Last season the Falcons shut out the Blue Angels in each game of a twinbill, winning by scores of 8-0 and 10-0. In the second game, Emily Brekke (Waterford, Wis.) tossed a no-hitter with six strikeouts in five innings of work.

4) The Falcons typically play well in non-conference home games. CUW is 10-0 in its last 10 non-conference home games, six of those have come against Mount Mary.
