Men's and Women's Cross Country earn USTFCCA All-Academic honors
NEW ORLEANS – The Concordia University Wisconsin Men's and Women's Cross Country teams each earned All-Academic Team honors from the USTFCCA, which was announced Wednesday.
The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association honors teams that post a 3.1 GPA or higher. The Falcons men's team had a team GPA of 3.33, while the women's team posted a GPA of 3.33. Overall, 211 women's programs were honored, while 152 men's programs earned the All-Academic honors.
CUW also had a strong season on the race courses in 2014, as the women's team ran to a runner-up finish at the NACC Championships in November, while the men finished fourth.
The NACC was well represented by the USTFCAA as four schools had both their men's and women's teams honored. Joining the Falcons on the list in both were Benedictine, MSOE and Wisconsin Lutheran. Aurora and Edgewood received All-Academic recognition on the women's side.
