Spranger named USTFCCCA All-Region Honoree

NEW ORLEANS – Sophomore sprinter Samual Spranger has been named as a USTFCCCA Division III Outdoor All-Region honoree, the organization announced Monday.

Spranger (Fond du Lac, Wis.) was honored as an All-Region performer as a top-five performer in the Midwest Region in the 400-meter dash. His time of 48.09 not only qualified him as an All-Region honoree but also as a national qualifier. 

The top-five individuals in each event from each region earn the All-Region distinction, in addition to each of the members of the region's top-3 relay teams. 

Spranger will compete this weekend at the 2018 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The 400-meter dash prelims are scheduled for 4 p.m. on Friday, May 25. If Spranger advances to the finals he will run Saturday at 1:10 p.m. The meet will be hosted by UW-La Crosse.
