CUW Men’s Hockey Still Searching for First Win
Minneapolis
Dustin Partacz and Jonathan Smith scored third-period goals for Concordia in a wild Falcon comeback from a 3-0 deficit but it wasn't enough as CUW dropped a 3-2 decision to Augsburg Friday night.
The Auggies scored twice in the first period to claim the lead and stretched the margin to 3-0 lead at the 14:05 mark of the third period before Tony Hrkac's team rallied.
The Falcons finally got on the scoreboard just 75 seconds later, as Partacz took a feed from Josh Farnam and scored on a breakaway. Concordia cut the lead to 3-2 with 1:23 left in the game as Smith scored on assists from Andy Meyer and Tyler Fischer but time ran out on the Falcons who fell to 0-8-0. Michael Wyenn had a 37 save performance for CUW.
