Men's Basketball honored by NABC for academic work

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Concordia Wisconsin was one of three Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference men's basketball programs to receive honors as the 2018-19 Team Academic Excellence Award by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), which released its seventh annual awards list.

Concordia Wisconsin was one of 150 programs recognized throughout the NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA. The award recognizes outstanding academic achievement by a team with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better for the 2018-19 season. Teams must count all the GPAs of all men's student-athletes who competed during the season to be eligible.

Edgewood and MSOE were the other NACC men's basketball programs to receive NABC recognition.
 
About the NABC
Founded in 1927 and located in Kansas City, Missouri, the NABC currently has nearly 5,000 members consisting primarily of university and college men's basketball coaches. All members of the NABC are expected to uphold the core values of being a Guardian of the Game by bringing attention to the positive aspects of the sport of basketball and the role coaches play in the academic and athletic lives of today's student-athletes.
