NEWSWORTHY NOTES
• WIN AND YOUR IN:
Concordia Wisconsin currently sits in a tie for fifth place in the NACC standings and a win over Rockford would clinch a spot in the NACC Tournament. If the Falcons go 1-1 in their last two games, numerous tiebreaking procedures come in to play.
• PILING ON THE POINTS: Concordia Wisconsin has piled on the points when playing against Rockford over the last four seasons, scoring over 100 points four times. They scored 112 on December 9, 2015, which was the sixth most points scored in a game in program history. In addition, 13 months ago the Falcons tallied 100 points, as all five starters scored in double-figures during a road victory.
• 3-POINT LOCKDOWN: Concordia Wisconsin isn't nice to the opposition around the 3-point line, allowing a NACC-best 29.9 percent to be made. The Falcons have forced opponents to shoot under 30 percent in 13 games this season and have put together a 9-4 record in those games.
• MUST HAVE THE LEAD: It's almost a given that when Concordia Wisconsin has the lead with five minutes to play they will win, posting a 9-0 record. On the flip side, they are 1-10 when trailing with five minutes to play in a contest.
• SCOUTING ROCKFORD: The Regents love sharing the ball, ranking second in the NACC with 15.6 assists per game. As well, a trio of players are averaging 2.7 assists or better per game. Tony Diemer is scoring 17.3 points to lead four players in double-digits, as each is shooting 43 percent or greater. Rockford has done well taking care of the ball over the past five games, recording a 1.49 assist-to-turnover ratio. In addition, they have more assists than turnovers in 16-of-23 games this season.
