Acrobatics & Tumbling Fought Hard in 2023

MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin acrobatics & tumbling team fought hard in the 2023 campaign.

The season started with a 1-0 forfeit victory over Adrian in February.

At Trine, The Falcons broke the school record in the toss heat two at 9.05.

Against Augustana, the tumbling trio broke the school record at 8.150.

CUW closed the season with a school record of 9.70 at Mary-Hardin Baylor in the toss heat one at the NCATA D3 National Championships.

At the NCATA D3 National Championships, CUW took home two national titles. The Falcons won their first title of the day in the 450 salto toss at 9.65 points with the team of junior Paityn Taormina (Geneva, Ill.), junior Eliana Schmit (Germantown, Wis.), senior Jessi Alexander (Plainfield, Ill.), sophomore Ellen Marie Sanders (Joppa, Md.) and junior Amanda Owens (Stevens Point, Wis.). Paityn Taormina ended the day with the crown in the open pass at 9.000 points. This is the second-straight year that she has claimed the honor.

The Falcons look to soar again in 2024.
