Falcons continue winning streak

MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- Concordia Wisconsin cruised to a 3-0 (25-18, 25-15, 25-13) NACC victory over Alverno on Friday night for fifth win in a row.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia Wisconsin performed well on both sides of the net during a league matchup against Alverno; hitting .259 as a team, serving seven aces and recording 8.0 total blocks (four solo).
- The Falcons were dialed in during the first and third sets, hitting .276 and .310, respectively. As the match progressed they slowly limited the points the Inferno scored from 18 in the opening frame to just 13 in the final stanza.
- In all, 15 players saw time on the court for Concordia Wisconsin and senior Megan Mayer (Downers Grove, Ill.) led the way with seven kills. Senior Kendall Stribling (Greenfield, Wis.) had five kills on eight attempts, to go along with two solo blocks and an assisted block.
- Senior Kelsey Kleba (Hartland, Wis.) and sophomore McKenna Nigl (Richland Center, Wis.) had had three block assists, while Nigl recorded a solo block.
- Off the bench, freshman Sierra Lee (Kenosha, Wis.) played well with three kills, six assists, four digs and a service ace.
- Neilee Newton and Kiera Sherlock each had six kills for Alverno.
- Concordia Wisconsin has now won nine of its last 10 matches.

- Concordia Wisconsin will have a quick turnaround with a Saturday 12 pm NACC contest against Concordia Chicago inside the R. John Buuck Field House.
