Aurora edged out Benedictine for the top spot at 12.167 and 73 points, compared to 11.5 and 69 points for Benedictine. The Spartans secured the award for the third-straight year and ninth overall.

The men's basketball team led CUW with 13 points after winning the NACC Tournament.

The men's indoor track & field team also added nine points.

Men's soccer secured eight and a half points and men's golf finished with eight points.

Football and men's cross country added seven points each.

CUW won on the men's side twice, during the 2009-10 and 2011-12 years.

Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, points were not awarded in the sports of baseball, softball, men's tennis, men's volleyball, and men's and women's outdoor track and field after those seasons/championships were canceled March 13. Additionally, no tournament points were awarded in women's tennis. Full points were awarded in men's golf, however, after the championship was declared final based on the 36-hole results from the fall.
