Pentathlon Athletes Compete at Whitewater

WHITEWATER, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's track & field team had four student-athletes compete in the pentathlon on Friday.

Junior Maya Hielscher (Macomb, Mich.) is fourth in the pentathlon at 2231 points. She was first in the high jump at 1.57 meters, sixth in the shot put at 9.46 meters, victorious in the long jump at 5.19 meters and 10th in the 800-meter run at 2:53.88.

In 11th place was freshman Nina Alft (Kimberly, Wis.) at 1565 points. Alft was night in the high jump at 1.36 meters, 10th in the shot put at 7.98 meters 11th in the long jump at 4.30 meters and 12th in the 800-meter run at 3:02.58.

Sophomore Elizabeth Van Rixel (Athens, Wis.) has 1521 points with a 13th-place height of 1.27 meters in the high jump, a 12th-place shot put at 7.48 meters, a 13thplace long jump at 3.93 meters and an eighth-place time of 2:48.04 in the 800.

Senior Kaitlynn Sabish (Campbellsport, Wis.) is in 14th place with 14th-place finishes in the shot put at 7.48 meters and 3.93 meters in the long jump. She was also 13th in the 800-meter run at 3:06.70.

CUW closes the competition on Saturday.
