Distance Medley Relay Claims NACC Weekly Honor

MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its weekly Student-Athlete of the Week awards on Tuesday morning.

The distance medley relay (DMR) team consisting of freshman Emma Ahrens (Stephens City, Va.) and sophomores Abigail Poehlman (Hubertus, Wis.), Ainara Sainz de Rozas (Madrid, Spain), and Danielle Van Grinsven (Appleton, Wis.) were voted as the Student-Athlete of the Week for Women's Track by the conference's athletic communications professionals.

This is the first time the team has been awarded this honor.

The group took first place in the DMR at 13:18.5 at Firebird First Invitational. Their time ranks fourth in NACC Division III.

Olivia Jameson of Illinois Institute of Technology was voted NACC Field Athlete of the Week.

The Falcons return to action on Saturday, January 20, at Wisconsin – Parkside.
