Ricki Budewitz named NACC Student-Athlete of the Week

MEQUON, Wis. - The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference announced its student-athletes of the week on Tuesday morning and Ricki Budewitz was named the NACC Student-Athlete of the Week in women's tennis.

A sophomore from Watertown, Wisconsin, Budewitz is claiming the title for the first time this season and the second time in her career.

Budewitz posted a 2-0 record last week at No. 1 singles with victories against Marian and Wisconsin Lutheran.

At No. 1 doubles, Budewitz and freshman Julia Vitale (Elm Grove, Wis.) posted a perfect 3-0 record on the week.

This is the second-straight week that a Falcon has claimed the title. Freshman Antonina Sanna (Clinton Township, Mich.) earned the honor last week.

Budewitz and the Falcons return to action on Wednesday against Lakeland.
